European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (UEMS/EACCME)
The 53rd Congress of the International Society of Paediatric Oncology is accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) to provide the following CME activity for medical specialists. The EACCME is an institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS): www.uems.net.

The 53rd Congress of the International Society of Paediatric Oncology is designated for a maximum of, or up to, 25 European external CME credits. Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity

American Medical Association (AMA)
Through an agreement between the European Union of Medical Specialists and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
Live educational activities, occurring outside of Canada, recognized by the UEMS-EACCME for ECMEC credits are deemed to be Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Continuing Nursing Education

​Criteria for successful completion: Attend one or more sessions and complete an evaluation form.
There is no conflict of interest for anyone with the ability to control content of the nursing sessions of this activity.
This nursing continuing professional development activity was approved by the Ohio Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. (OBN-001-91).

The maximum number of hours awarded for this Continuing Nursing Education activity is 22.5 contact hours.

  1. Complete the anonymous online evaluation
  2. Complete the credit claim form and submit
  3. The CME/CPD certificate will be available for download; retain for your personal records

Kindly note that the SIOP 2021 online evaluation​ will be active on the last day of the meeting. ​You will then be able to access it and claim your CME/CPD certificate.

 

Educational Objectives

After attending this event, participants should be able to:

  • Address individual needs in compliance with their Continuous Professional Development (CPD) plan.
  • Describe the most recent research-based and clinical developments in pediatric oncology.
  • Debate epidemiology, biology and prognostic factors in children and adolescents with oncologic malignancies.
  • Discuss experimental treatments, targeted therapies and cancer immunology in pediatric cancer.
  • Address precision medicine and cancer predisposition in pediatrics.
  • Debate novel approaches in radiation therapy, radiomics and imaging modalities in childhood cancer.
  • Discuss functional results after surgical resection of pediatric tumors.
  • Enhance the knowledge in the prevention and treatment of chemotherapy adverse effects.
  • Address supportive care and palliative homecare in high- and low-income countries.
  • Identify educational resources, networks and other for exchange of knowledge and learning about pediatric oncology.
  • Enhance new relationships with colleagues with common interests throughout the world.

 

Target Audience

SIOP 2021 is the global meeting place for physicians, researchers, scientists, nurses, surgeons, paediatric and radiation oncologists other healthcare professionals in the field of pediatric oncology and its sub-specialties. Because of the diverse, clinically focused educational offering, participants are able to tailor the curriculum to meet the needs of international clinicians of all levels of experience.
